A Childhood of Challenges and a Vision for Change

I grew up in a place where technology was a distant dream, where healthcare was scarce, and where the simplest medical emergencies could turn into tragedies. Living in undeveloped place, I witnessed firsthand how limited access to doctors and medicine impacted people’s lives. But instead of accepting this as normal, I saw an opportunity—an opportunity to change lives through technology. As a young kid who has her books in hands, I have always made the most out of my education in order to see a better tomorrow in my community and change lives through technology.

For me, technology isn’t just about innovation—it’s about survival, empowerment, and transformation. Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the world, and I want to be at the forefront of that revolution. Imagine an AI-driven system that can diagnose diseases remotely, alert users about potential health risks, and connect patients to doctors regardless of their location. That’s the kind of impact I want to make in my country, on my people and in my community.

One of my biggest goals is to create a tech program that empowers and inspires young people—especially girls—to explore AI and computer science. I want to show them that they, too, can be innovators, problem solvers, and world-changers. This program will focus on teaching coding, AI development, and how to use technology for social good.

One of the first projects I dream of launching is a mobile app that monitors people's health from home. It will track vital signs, remind users to take medication, and provide emergency alerts when needed. This could be life-changing for people in remote areas who can’t easily access hospitals. My hope is that one day, no one will have to suffer because they live too far from a doctor

Somalia has been through so much, but I believe technology can be a tool for rebuilding and progress. I want to bring AI-driven solutions to my home country—to improve healthcare, education, advanced cyber security and economic opportunities. I see a future where Somalia isn’t just known for its struggles but for its innovation, resilience, and technological advancements.

This isn’t just a dream—it’s my mission. With every step I take in my education, with every line of code I write, I am moving closer to making this vision a reality. AI isn’t just about machines; it’s about people. It’s about giving everyone, no matter where they come from, a chance at a healthier, to stay connected to the world, and have better future.
